Precautions for using precision planetary gearbox
Precision planetary reducers reduce speed and increase output torque through gear transmission. The structure is compact and reasonable, fully utilizing all parts for transmission to achieve the purpose of deceleration. Belonging to semi customized products, the output end of the reducer is standard size, and the input end of the reducer is customized, made according to the size of the servo motor matched by the customer.
When using a planetary gearbox, it is important to pay close attention to core processes such as installation, lubrication, load control, and maintenance to ensure its accuracy and lifespan. Specific precautions are as follows:

1. Installation and commissioning
-Coaxiality calibration: The coaxiality between the input shaft and the motor shaft, as well as the output shaft and the load shaft, needs to be strictly controlled (usually requiring ≤ 0.1mm). Excessive deviation can lead to increased bearing wear, increased noise, and even shaft breakage.
-Fixed and stressed: During installation, it is necessary to ensure that the gearbox body is firmly fixed to avoid vibration and displacement during operation; The output shaft is prohibited from bearing additional radial or axial impact forces (such as manual prying or eccentric loads), and if necessary, auxiliary support from bearing seats should be installed.
-Wiring and steering: If equipped with braking function, it is necessary to confirm that the voltage of the braking coil matches the power supply; Before the first trial run, it is necessary to jog and check whether the motor rotation is consistent with the requirements of the gearbox to avoid damaging the internal gears during reverse operation.
2. Lubrication management
-The grease cannot be replaced. If you need to replace it, please contact our business personnel.
3. Load and operation control
-Load limit: It is strictly prohibited to operate beyond the rated torque and speed of the gearbox. Short term overload (such as the moment of starting) should be controlled within 1.5 times the rated value. Long term overload can directly cause the gear tooth surface to stick or break.
-Start and stop: Avoid frequent start and stop (especially when starting with heavy loads), and ensure that the load is not stuck during startup; It is recommended to reduce the load speed before shutting down, and then cut off the power supply to reduce impact.
4. Daily maintenance and inspection
-Regular inspection: Check daily for any abnormal noise (such as metal friction sound, vibration sound), oil leakage (shaft end, flange joint surface), and temperature rise (oil temperature generally does not exceed 80 ℃) during operation. If any problems are found, stop the machine immediately for troubleshooting.
-Cleaning and protection: Keep the surface of the reducer clean to prevent dust and water stains from entering the interior; When used outdoors or in humid environments, protective measures should be taken (such as installing protective covers and regularly removing rust) to avoid rusting of the shell.
5. Other precautions
-Special tools should be used for disassembly during maintenance to avoid violent strikes on gears or shafts. Parts that need to be replaced should be returned to our company for inspection and replacement of corresponding parts.
